    Community Guidelines

    Three important things to keep in mind when using Staffroom:

    • Be genuine: Use real name 
    • Maintain Dignity: Maintain dignity of teaching/education field.
    • Respect the platform and volunteers who are supporting it.

    Things to avoid if you don’t want to get banned:

    • Hate speech, Bullying, Abuse
    • Illegal Content
    • Inappropriate Imagery
    • Graphic Violence
    • Respect Platform

    Posting policies:

    • Questions should be sincere attempts to obtain reusable information – not just to spam or gain advantage out of the platform.
    • Questions should be clearly written – they should not mislead or confuse people.
    • Questions should comply with Staffroom site policies and are covered under its privacy policy.
    • Question sources should be used to provide context for a question.
    • Topics should be used to help people who may be interested in the question – The tagged topics should be correctly relevant to the question.
    • Questions are stronger if they are phrased neutrally.
    • Questions of many types are encouraged.
    • Please make sure that you have searched the community before posting a question, in order to minimize duplicate questions.

    Answering Policies:

    • Staffroom’s intent for each forum is to become the most useful resource for people with the same or relevant questions. 
    • Answers should make the forum more helpful and useful for users who are interested in the related questions.
    • Self-promotion is allowed only as part of a genuine, helpful and clear answer to the question. 

    Moderating Policies:

    Some reasons why admins may edit-block or ban someone:

    • They vandalize content on the site.
    • They engage in one or more actions which violate the core policies.
    • They post a significant number of questions, answers or comments that aren’t helpful.
    • They repeatedly violate Staffroom policies or do not change their behavior even after receiving a content warning.
    • They use copyrighted content from other websites/resources which are not given appropriate credits
